Fiona Clarke

Owner / Director

As Co-Owner and Director of Gootchie Pooch Getaway, Fiona Clarke brings a lifetime of experience, knowledge and passion for dogs to every aspect of the business. Dogs have always been at the centre of Fiona's life, and her commitment to their wellbeing is reflected in the high standard of care every guest receives.

Fiona has successfully competed in a wide range of ANKC dog sports, including obedience, agility, tracking and scent work. Her involvement in these disciplines has given her a deep understanding of canine behaviour, enrichment and training, allowing her to appreciate the individual needs and personalities of every dog.

Prior to establishing Gootchie Pooch Getaway, Fiona owned and operated a highly respected boarding kennel on the Sunshine Coast, where she earned a reputation for providing exceptional care in a safe, enriching and welcoming environment. Her years of experience in professional dog boarding, combined with her extensive background in dog sports, have shaped the philosophy behind Gootchie Pooch Getaway.

Fiona's goal is simple—to create a place where dogs can enjoy their own holiday while their owners are away. Every decision she makes is centred around providing a fun, enriching and stress-free experience, ensuring each dog is treated with the same love, care and attention as if they were one of her own.

Tracey Sait

Owner / Director

Tracey is the other Co-Owner and Director of Gootchie Pooch Getaway, where she combines her lifelong passion for dogs with professional knowledge and hands-on experience to provide exceptional care and support for every dog that visits.

Holding a National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF) qualification in Dog Behaviour and Training, Tracey has built her career working with dogs across boarding kennels, training facilities, and doggy daycares. This diverse experience has given her a deep understanding of canine behaviour, enrichment, and the individual needs of dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities.

When she's not caring for dogs at Gootchie Pooch Getaway, you'll often find her training and competing with her own dogs in the exciting sport of scent work. She loves watching dogs build confidence, solve problems, and have fun using their natural abilities.

For Tracey, working with dogs isn't just a profession—it's a genuine passion. She is dedicated to ensuring every dog enjoys a safe, enriching, and tail-wagging experience while in her care.
